PROJECT OVERVIEW

Shuker Building & Development is a Shrewsbury based building and development company delivering commercial, residential and domestic projects across Shropshire. The business required a complete rebuild of its website after the original site was hacked, alongside a restructure to better reflect its values, sectors and capabilities. The objective was to create a modern, structured platform that improved user experience and strengthened brand representation.

THE BRIEF

The previous website lacked structure and clarity. Services and sectors were not clearly defined, and user journeys did not effectively guide visitors through the site. Following the security breach, the opportunity was taken to completely rethink the architecture and create a platform that better represented the company’s standards and long term vision.

THE STRATEGY

The first step was rebuilding the entire site structure following the security breach. Service categories and sector categories were separated and then strategically woven together, allowing users to clearly identify both the type of service and the sector relevance. Navigation was simplified to remove confusion and ensure logical progression throughout the site.

Each service now has a defined purpose within the wider structure, supported by clear calls to action and structured internal linking. Content was refined to better communicate the company’s values, standards and project capabilities, ensuring the website works as a strategic representation of the business rather than just an online brochure.

THE DESIGN & BUILD

The design was modernised to create a strong, professional feel. Video was integrated into the homepage hero section to add impact and reinforce capability. User journeys were refined to remove dead ends, ensuring every page guided visitors toward a clear next step.

THE OUTCOME

Shuker now has a secure, structured and modern website that better reflects the quality of its work. Clearer user journeys and improved presentation have strengthened the company’s digital presence.
